The Actor’s Choice is a weekly LIVE-streaming online entertainment web series. The program centers on actors, actresses, directors, producers, and various entertainment professionals. It’s hosted by storied journalist Ron Brewington.
Over the years, as part of Radio One/XM and the American Urban Radio Networks, and as a news anchor, Ron has covered nearly every important event affecting urban America. He served for seventeen years as the Los Angeles bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks, covering the Democratic National Conventions in 1980 and 2000, the 1984 Summer Olympics, the Rodney King trial and the subsequent rebellion and both O.J. Simpson trials.
Brewington covered entertainment events like the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, Soul Train Music Awards, American Music Awards, Emmy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, BET Awards and others. Ron has even appeared in several movies, including Harlem Nights, as well as the NBC television special event, Roots: Celebrating 25 Years. Ron has also produced acclaimed radio tributes to Marvin Gaye and other R & B legends. In 2016, he was the host for the Doo Wop Hall of Fame Induction Gala, held at the historic Globe Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California. He was recently the announcer for Motown’s Heroes and Legends Awards (HAL) at the famed Beverly Hills Hotel.
In April of 2024, The Actor’s Choice celebrated its 400th episode on United Broadcast Network - Burbank, California. The Actor’s Choice has started our expansion to bring the audience new and exciting segments with remotes, guest hosts and a new Podcast called Brew’s Stew. The show will feature a rotation of hosts and cover a wide range of topics that appeal to a diverse audience. In addition to entertainment, we'll explore subjects such as the economy, politics, elections, travel, music, non-profits, sports, the environment, history, and the state of the media, with guest experts in each field.
